Dating with purpose

It takes a strong person to remain single in a world that is accustomed to settling for anything just to say they have something. 

There is much more to life than finding someone who will want and appreciate you or being sad over someone who probably does not even think about you. Our generation is filled with young people who date because everyone is doing it. There is nothing wrong with being single even when everyone else around you is involved in a relationship.

Where purpose is not known abuse is inevitable.  Many girls and boys have had their dreams shattered by people who didn’t even have the intention of truly loving them. Don’t get involved in the wrong relationship, at the wrong time and with the wrong person.

Sometimes the outside does not represent the inside and often times we fail or lack the wisdom or the ability to discern and end up falling for the wrong guy or girl. Being pretty or handsome is not a guarantee that someone will treat you right, value you in a relationship or have good intentions for you.

Don’t get involved with someone with no vision in life. They say a man with dreams needs a woman with vision. We are tired of girls who wait for successful guys to marry them. People should learn to be complete on their own. However, our society has raised a generation of ladies who look up to men such that they tend to relax in life and wait for successful men to marry them. I believe that a successful guy deserves a successful lady. People in relationships should be  blessings to each other, it’s a two way thing, never one way. You add value to me and l add value to you!!! The truth is, a Proverbs 31 lady deserves an Ephesians 5 kind of guy.

It’s funny how romance has been made a priority in relationships. Love is worth more than that. Actually, some romantic things we do are led by hormones, but when the hormonal haze clears what matters is character, wisdom, education and having a relationship with GOD.
