COLOUR DOESN'T DEFINE BEAUTY

Beauty has no skin tone!!! |
We live in a society that strongly believes in an ideology that only fair is lovely and that fairness is a pre-requisite for success and marriage. How absurd?
How unfortunate it is to live in a world where people desire creating babies dipped in milk and where 3 out of 5 people have powder stuck in creases of their necks just to look 'beautiful'. Our society is more vicious about colorism, that's because we have been taught by our elders, peers, in movies and schools that beauty is associated with fairness.
But does beauty have a standard? Does beauty have a concept? So l ask myself, what really defines beauty?
It's ironic how our generation has associated beauty with being light. How an elegant dark-complexioned girl feels insecure about their skin colour.
Who said beauty is defined by having a white or pale skin? But this is a society we live in. A society where skin lightening has become a cultural obsession and where dark skin stigmatisation and the rigid cultural perception that correlates lighter skin tone with beauty, is the order of the day.
But hey, beauty has no skin tone. Colour doesn't define beauty. Beauty is defined by our minds, our individuality and our character. Show me a person with love, compassion and kindness and l will show you show someone with the kind of beauty that l admire!
You are black..you are light, we are all winning....#beauty has no skin tone.
Well said👌👌👌
